I’m working currently as Software Engineer at UOL – main portal to content & Internet provider in Brazil. During my nine years in this position, I have been responsible for architectural quality improvements, coding and testing automation in billing systems that processed more than R$ 133.8 million in the third quarter of 2007.
One of my accomplishments was planning and coding tests for UOL ad serving payment system, which includes functional and non-functional requirement validation – like accuracy, load and stress tests. It was challenging because UOL ad serving payment system performs distributed transactions, remote calls and SAP/R3 integration. I also coded extensions for dynamic management systems health using Java JMX technology.
I was responsible for adapting the ClearCase/Ant platform to Subversion/Maven building structure; it was an important work to reduce building and integration time from days to minutes. Now I’m working to put these systems in a continuous building process that includes execution of automated tests, static code analysis and quality reports generation.
